by Deangelo Burse (Author)
What if you could redesign your life story?
Yours to Design: Constructing a Life That Is Meaningful introduces Nimble, DeAngelo Burse's groundbreaking personality development concept that empowers readers to reshape their narratives, unlock potential, and flourish in every area of life. Drawing from behavioral science, social psychology, and narrative identity, Burse shows how individuals can move beyond the constraints of heredity and environment by cultivating adaptability, reframing identity, and building habits that lead to confidence, resilience, and growth.
Blending research with practical application, Burse provides tools, reflective prompts, and science-backed strategies for leadership, mindset, and lasting transformation. Inspiring and accessible, Yours to Design equips readers to pursue meaning, embrace adaptability, and become the best version of themselves-in life, work, and relationships.
"Although people usually look outside themselves to find meaning and contentment in life, DeAngelo Burse shows how to design the life we want by aligning life with our goals, values, personal characteristics, and identity. If you're struggling to become the person you want to be, read this book.
Mark Leary, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of Psychology and Neuroscience, Duke University
"This book takes you on a transformative journey: from identifying, owning, adapting, and implementing your story to becoming an inspirational agent enabling others to do the same. That's DeAngelo Burse's journey. It can become yours as well."
Norman Cotterell, Ph.D., Senior clinical psychologist at Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
"DeAngelo Burse thoughtfully translates the best scientific research into practical and meaningful ways to pursue your ideal self."
