by Lawrence Watt-Evans (Author)
The book follows Tobas, a young wizard who inherits a single spell from his deceased master. With limited magical knowledge and a desire for adventure, he embarks on a quest to make a name for himself. Along the way, Tobas encounters magical creatures, dangerous challenges, and unexpected companions. His journey is filled with wit and resourcefulness, as he navigates a world where one spell might not be enough to achieve his dreams.
