A Piano donated to Whistling Pines Senior Residence hides a dusty wooden puzzle box. The discovery leads to stories, rumor, and speculation about the piano's owner and her unusual death. Despite their reluctance to interject themselves into the family dynamics of Wendy and Sparky's upcoming shotgun wedding, Peter and Jenny are dragged into every aspect of their new neighbor's lives including the bachelor party during a VFW meat raffle.

Author Dean L. Hovey has done it again, providing Peter Rogers, the Recreation Director at the Whistling Pines Senior Residence, another mystery to solve. Excellent, unique, and story-consistent characters who seem to flourish with Peter's leadership as the head of recreation.
With his keen detective instinct, Peter is always ready to unravel the 'who, what, where, why, and how.' But it's not a solo mission. The residents of Whistling Pines, with their wealth of knowledge and life experiences, play a crucial role in aiding Peter's investigations.
This is a beautiful read with many comical, deep-hearted, serious, and adventurous scenes-the kind that makes one feel like they are right there among the residents of Whistling Pines.
I always look forward to reading the next book to catch up on what's happening in the characters' lives.
