by Olive Bray (Translator), Wolf Wickham (Editor), Unknown (Author)
What is this new Paganism that is again challenging the spirit and values in people of northern European heritage? It is the Old Custom, and the Poetic Edda holds a vital place in it. This newly revised edition of the Poetic Edda uses the more readable, highly acclaimed Olive Bray translation and contains the Prophecy of the Wise Woman and The Hávamál. Together with a New Glossary of modern Heathen terms and an "edgy" introduction, this is a primary resource for understanding the Northern Way.
Author Biography
The current publishers research suggests that the translator Olive Bray, a distinguished member of the Viking Society for Northern Research in London, came from a well-to-do English family and died at the age of 31 in 1909, the year after her monumental work appeared. Wolf Wickham, recognizing the value of Bray's translation, revised and published it in this new, user friendly form. Wolf has studied and worked for the restoration of primal Teutonic Heathenism since 2005, when he made an oath to dedicate himself to the advancement of the Northern Way.
