by Margaret Tabor (Author)
Unity Penfold returns home to her street one afternoon to find that her house has vanished into thin air as though it never existed. Worse, her children's school has no record of her two sons, no trace of her husband can be found, and even friends and neighbors fail to recognize her.
When she is taken to hospital and identified as a missing woman named Sarah Davies, she is forced to question her own sanity. Is she the victim of a strange delusion, the butt of a monstrous practical joke, or are there even stranger and more terrible forces at work? Forced to adopt Sarah's identity, Unity sets out to solve the riddle of her sudden nonexistence, but the truth is far more bizarre and unexpected than she could ever have imagined.
Unity Penfold (1980), published in the United States as Nightmare Street, is a Twilight Zone-style journey into the weird and inexplicable, a riveting story that will keep readers guessing until the final revelation. This new edition features both the original British ending and expanded ending from the American edition.
