Amish quilts, known for their beautiful color combinations and varied motifs, are extremely popular among quilt makers. This easy-to-follow guidebook shows quilters how to create these lovely classics in miniature -- with patterns that work up quickly and easily. Just the right size for use as doll bedcovers or lovely wall hangings, these eye-catching quilts are perfect for experimenting with a variety of colors and are considerably less intimidating to work up than full-size quilts.
Complete step-by-step instructions and full-size templates show needlecrafters how to make 20 "quiltlets" ranging in size from about 21" x 21" for the largest to 15 1/2" x 18 1/2" for the smallest. Over 100 illustrations help create such perennially popular designs as Four Patch, Zig Zag, Baskets, Sunshine and Shadow, Triangles, Monkey Wrench, Diamond in a Square, Shoo Fly, Log Cabin, Evening Star, and 10 other classic patterns.
