by Johnny Worthen (Author)
Fourteen year-old runaway Andi Neil is on a quest to redeem her dead father. Shunned, orphaned and alone she has but one companion. She calls him Damon. He's nine inches tall, red as a firetruck, has black fangs and lidless eyes, horns, wings and a barbed tail.
He looks like he came straight from below, but better the devil you know than the father you don't.
Pursued across the American West by a mysterious woman who would destroy Andi to get to Damon, Andi must rely on her wits, courage, and a little arcane help from the silent imp who just appeared one night in her room.
Is the mysterious Damon helping her or using her? Who is he? What is he? Where did he come from? Could he be any cuter? Is he as dangerous as he seems? These questions could equally apply to Andi.
Unfamiliar family, inherited sins, and unlikely gifts await Andi on her epic journey to the truth of her existence and the meaning behind the monster
