by M. Fountain (Author)
He was forced to leave his wife and daughter behind. His son was stolen. Now Cole must fight for his family from within the system that tore his life apart. While his son, Tern, grows under his protection in a factory-city built from the remains of a fallen civilization, Cole builds a secret plan to escape a controlling world in which third-born children are pulled from their families. While Cole is away, a daughter who never got to know him fights her own battles to reunite the family and protect the society built by her grandmother. With the help of her estranged uncle and her father's unknowing assistant, a girl named Two will help to right the wrongs of the past and reunite her family.
