by Chris (Author)
Former Hockey phenom Kyle Prescott saw his life derailed after a tragic car accident that left his family and hometown devastated. Years later, at 38, still consumed by guilt and remorse, his former coach and mentor offers him a second chance: a tryout for a minor league team in the same small Canadian town where he grew up. Kyle faces many challenges: a questionable team owner exploiting him through the media, and a complicated reunion with his former flame, Julie Carter. On the ice, he battles younger players trying to end his career, a constant reminder of his fading time to reclaim his professional hockey dreams. Off the ice, he attempts to seek forgiveness from his sister and struggles with dark family secrets, including a buried truth about his brother that could destroy his new beginning. Can Kyle overcome his dark past and find redemption in the town that once respected him? Or will his previous mistakes and secrets haunt him forever?
