by Randy Tharp (Author)
On a Friday just before lunch, Randy set out with his mom Barb to find the help she needed. What followed was a year-long odyssey through the tangled terrain of eldercare, where brunch arrived courtesy of a muse scented like rainbows, Iditarod coins were mined from borrowed purses, and rebellion brewed inside the halls of Los Prados Verdes Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation. Along the way, a hideous dress made its move-and was repeatedly rebuffed.
The Outback Diaries is an unfiltered account of caregiving: absurd, exhausting, and unexpectedly funny. At its heart, it's about persistence, perspective, and the strange grace of showing up-especially when it's messy.
