by Charles Edward Jefferson (Author)
The Minister As Shepherd is a book written by Charles Edward Jefferson and first published in 1912. The book is a guide for ministers on how to become effective shepherds of their congregations. Jefferson argues that the role of a minister is not just to preach from the pulpit but also to care for the spiritual and emotional needs of their flock. He draws on biblical examples of shepherds such as David and Jesus to illustrate his points. The book covers topics such as pastoral care, counseling, leadership, and preaching. Jefferson emphasizes the importance of building relationships with congregants and understanding their individual needs. He also provides practical advice on how to handle difficult situations such as conflict and grief. The Minister As Shepherd is a timeless resource for ministers looking to improve their pastoral skills and serve their congregations more effectively. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
