by E. C. Quinn (Author)
Some destinies choose you. And no matter how hard you try, you cannot hide.
When twelve-year-old Sammy Greene wakes up bleeding after a dream about a dog he has never met, he learns his nightmare visions are not just nightmares. His destiny has found him.
A letter from his deceased grandmother says Sammy has been chosen- the "gift" has been passed down to him.
As his dreams grow more desperate, what started as a small-town petnapping mystery leads Sammy deep into the forest in the dead of night, armed with only wavering courage, a dying phone, and his pet mouse Cal.
But what he discovers there is not just a lost dog. It is something evil, and as the darkness closes in, this pulse-pounding adventure takes a dangerous turn-the call impossible to ignore.
Fans of Percy Jackson and Hatchet will devour this fast-paced middle-grade adventure, where the villains are terrifying, the stakes are real, and one ordinary kid must find extraordinary courage. With an adrenaline-fueled wilderness chase and a heartbreaking animal rescue at its core, this coming-of-age story with a supernatural twist delivers action and suspense, keeping pages turning long past bedtime.

"If you follow your destiny, you cannot fail. From the first sentence to the last, Premonition: The Gift had me hooked." -Amy S. Cutler, author of A Shadow of Love
