by Lori Holmes (Author)
A defiant Ninkuraaja. A murderous chieftain. Two enemies bound to a destiny that could build or destroy the future of mankind.
Rebaa was born in the Shin'ar forests, to the Ninkuraaja People; an ancient race of humans who evolved with a deep connection to the energies of the Earth.
Years ago, Rebaa was separated from her home.
Learning to live among her People's sworn enemy, the fierce and wily Cro, she dared to fall in love with a man not of her own species; the Cro chief, Juran.
In doing so, she defied every law set down by the creators of humanity: the Sky Gods.
But when Rebaa's adopted tribe is slaughtered by giant creatures known only as Watchers, her only refuge is torn away, leaving her to face the consequences of her Forbidden actions alone.
Struggling against the never-ending winter, starvation, and deadly predators, Rebaa discovers that Eldrax, a murderous chieftain from a rival clan, is hunting her down. And he wants one thing.
Her.
Possessing Rebaa's mysterious but extraordinary powers would make Eldrax the most feared, powerful chieftain to walk the lands.
Rebaa knows she must stay one step ahead of Eldrax if she is to escape before being eternally bound to the monster who would possess her and the secret she carries.
If she doesn't, Rebaa risks everything that is precious to her falling into the hands of her ruthless enemy.
Pitting her wits against Eldrax's band of hunters, Rebaa's very existence becomes a life-or-death chase in the quest for salvation and a safe haven she can call home.
But what haven could possibly exist for one who bears The Forbidden?
The Forbidden is the first book in The Ancestors Saga series.
For fantasy lovers everywhere, The Ancestors Saga has been enjoyed by fans of Jean Auel's, Clan of the Cave Bear and James Cameron's Avatar, taking you on an exciting and emotional adventure that will stay with you long after the journey ends.
