by Craig A. Carter (Author)
This practical book introduces the reader to the basics of the Christian faith through an explanation of the Westney Catechism. It grounds Christians in the essentials of the faith, examining the Great Commandment, the Apostles' Creed, the Ten Commandments, baptism, the Lord's Supper, the Lord's Prayer and the Great Commission. This is a useful book for small group studies, Christian schools, Sunday School, family devotions or simply as an introduction to the foundational doctrines of Christianity.
"Since the earliest days of the church, catechizing has been one of the primary means Christians have used to learn the truth they love. The most useful catechisms don't just provide questions and answers--they also explain the answers. The Faith Once Delivered...[is] an accessible, practical resource."
Donald S. Whitney, author of Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life, Praying the Bible and Family Worship
"Here is a faithful exposition of the Apostles' Creed, presented in a catechism format, that is thoroughly biblical, theologically accurate and yet practically relevant. You will do well to explore the truths contained in these pages, internalize them into your daily life and pass them down to the next generation."
Steven J. Lawson, president, OnePassion Ministries, Dallas, Texas, USA
"This is a wonderful book to help the church equip new believers and those wanting to grow in their understanding of basic Christianity. ...an evangelical catechism that is both robust theologically and centred on the gospel. I would highly recommend this excellent tool to church leaders."
Rick Buck, lead pastor, Emmanuel Barrie, Barrie, Ontario
