"The Endurance of Hope allows all of us to see inside the heart and soul of a celebrated visionary artist. Melanie Gendron writes with relentless honesty as she reveals the creative process of her life and her art. A delight to read."
- Diane Frank, Author of Mermaids and Musicians
"What a brilliant, creative talent Melanie Gendron is: visually and linguistically. The Endurance of Hope is a book that dazzles the eye and fills the heart with the treasures of its insights and humanity."
- Robert Scotellaro, Author of Quick Adjustments and Nothing Is Ever One Thing
"Seldom is a memoir a page-turner, but Gendron keeps titillating the reader with ever more detail of her interesting life. Very entertaining, mesmerizing, at times jaw-dropping to see learning experiences unfold into wisdom. Her language is clearly influenced by poetry: from "a depth of silence filled the room" to "fear eats the heart like vultures devour carrion." Describing an angel in a dream, "We have so much to give; you just have to get out of the way." This book speaks volumes of the benefits of awareness."
- Erik Ievins, Fine Tuning Expert
"The Endurance of Hope is a mixture of memoir and fiction. Melanie writes about her hundredth birthday decades before its occurrence, and pets tell us their stories. This book has both laughter and tears."
- Elizabeth Porter, Author of Affirmations for Everyday Living
