by Kristopher Rufty (Author)
Stranded, starving, and cursed in the mountains of North Carolina, 1884. Three families seeking fortune in the gold rush find themselves trapped by unrelenting snow and frigid temperatures. As food dwindles, desperation breeds unspeakable acts.
When death comes, they commit a depraved act to survive, unleashing a terrifying curse. Now, stalked by a malevolent force, they face a horrifying choice: devour each other or succumb to the dead. Will they escape the mountain's grip, or will their humanity be the ultimate sacrifice?
The Devoured and the Dead is for readers who crave a chilling blend of Western grit and supernatural horror. Prepare for a splatter western experience where survival comes at a gruesome price.
