In August 1961, a wall was built through the heart of Berlin to keep East Germans from crossing over to West Germany. For the next 28 years, East German border guards had orders to fire on anyone attempting to escape over the wall. But on November 9, 1989, word of a policy change electrified the citizens of East Berlin. Soon, huge crowds gathered, and the massive concrete wall came tumbling down! What led up to the crowds bringing down the Berlin Wall, and what was this momentous event's enduring legacy? Find out in an easy-to-read graphic novel that reveals why the fall of the Berlin Wall is among the greatest moments in history.
