by Kathy Bjornestad (Author), Kaya Glasner (Illustrator)
Sunny has no idea why her jailbird mother has moved them to a no-name town in Wyoming. She only knows she misses Gramps and his cabin, and she hardly recognizes her mom anymore.
Not since The Awful Night.
Was Sunny to blame? Will they ever feel like a family again? When Sunny takes on work with her gruff landlady in their dingy apartment building, change begins to seem possible. If she doesn't decide to run, maybe she can become someone new. Someone amazing.
The Amazing Sunny York is one girl's journey towards forgiveness and acceptance. This coming-of-age novel reinforces the idea that change is possible . . . for everyone.
