by Austin Mardon (Author), Abdulrahman Aldada (Author), Anushka Hasija (Author)
Discussion of taxation practices inevitably draws discussions of government policymaking. Lesser discussed, however, is the idea of how state actions and tax laws may intersect with social considerations in creating a more equitable society. Separated into disparate chapters on various topics, this book elucidates upon the nuance regarding philosophical, political, and socioeconomic factors that affect taxation. Particular attention is given to the moral and economic ramifications of tax policy and its impact on families, gender, race, equality, and the accumulation of wealth.
