Sophie is a beautiful and gentle soul who roams the starry sky with her friends. Although she is happy, she feels as if something was missing.
One by one, her friends begin finding homes and families on Earth, and Sophie wonders when her time will come. She waits and waits until she is all alone. Then, finally she finds two people in love who are excited to have her join their family. She sets out on a journey to Earth, and she lives and plays inside her mommy's tummy until the day of her birth arrives. Then she has a family and a home on Earth.
This children's story tells the tale of a soul coming to Earth and being born, introducing young readers to the ideas of conception, pregnancy, childbirth, and family.
Author Biography
Marie Nakhoul and Karl Seif are two Obstetrics and Gynecology physicians who met and fell in love in medical school. Their young and inquisitive daughter, Sophie, often asks how she came to exist in this world. They decided to use their artistic and medical knowledge to provide a story explaining concepts such as conception, pregnancy, childbirth, and family.

Standard U.S. returns are accepted for eligible new, unopened items within 30 days of carrier delivery. Returns are by mail. Customers are responsible for standard return shipping, there is no restocking fee, and standard exchanges are not offered. Once an approved return is received and inspected, the refund is issued to the original payment method within 5 business days. Damaged, defective, or incorrect items are handled at no return-shipping cost to the customer.
