by Teddie Peacock (Author)
Secret Keepers is a novel of domestic suspense. Tessa Donovan Carmichael is determined to find out why her husband Jackson and friends, Mindy and Kelly are keeping a secret about the fire that destroyed part of her summer home, Storybook Cottage and changed their lives forever.
Tessa, Mindy, and Kate, best friends since college get pulled into a secret so awful, that it has chilling consequences for all involved.
The dark secret really didn't start with the fire at Storybook. It started long before with the lies they told themselves and each other. The secrets that they kept hidden deep from those they loved the most.
It started with the Invincible Six; Tessa, Jackson, Mindy, Theo, Kate and Kelly, college friends, who were later married couples and longtime best friends. It ended almost 14 years later when one of them dies under mysterious circumstances.
They kept a terrible secret that none of them should have. In the end, it has devastating consequences for all of them.
After attending a memorial service for one of their own, who died much too young; Tessa realizes the secret goes much deeper than she ever believed, and that someone murdered their friend, Kelly.
Jackson, Mindy and Kelly always had conflicting stories about the fire that seriously burned Mindy and caused significant property damage to Storybook. But why? What happened that night and how is it connected to Kelly's untimely death? Is it even connected to Kelly's death?
Tessa uses her investigative reporting skills to figure out the truth of that painful night. In the end, she discovers that some secrets are so dangerous they should never be hidden away. She unravels the truth of what happened that night and closes in on a killer.
