Author Biography
Emre Öktem, born in Istanbul, is a professor of international law at Galatasaray University (Istanbul). He also teaches at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) and the Turkish War Academies. The author of books and articles on human rights, freedom of religion, minority rights, the law of armed conflict, and the history of law under the Ottoman Empire, he is actively involved in interreligious dialogue. He has served as an expert with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, the Turkish courts, and international investment arbitration.

Standard U.S. returns are accepted for eligible new, unopened items within 30 days of carrier delivery. Returns are by mail. Customers are responsible for standard return shipping, there is no restocking fee, and standard exchanges are not offered. Once an approved return is received and inspected, the refund is issued to the original payment method within 5 business days. Damaged, defective, or incorrect items are handled at no return-shipping cost to the customer.
