The bargain-priced Seattle Slew and his youthful, attractive owners captured public imagination during racing's golden decade of the 1970s, touching a chord that resonated over three seasons. In retirement, he shone even brighter, with many of his offspring becoming champions on the track. In Seattle Slew, author Dan Mearns, a longtime racing journalist and editor, explores the life of the great horse, who was one of only thirteen Triple Crown winners in the history of horse racing.
Author Biography
Dan Mearns was managing editor of The Blood-Horse magazine, editor of The Florida Horse, and managing editor of the Thoroughbred Record. A founding member of the Kentucky Thoroughbred Media, he won six Eclipse Awards and eight American Horse Publication Awards. He died in 2022.

Returns & Refunds
Standard U.S. returns are accepted for eligible new, unopened items within 30 days of carrier delivery. Returns are by mail. Customers are responsible for standard return shipping, there is no restocking fee, and standard exchanges are not offered. Once an approved return is received and inspected, the refund is issued to the original payment method within 5 business days. Damaged, defective, or incorrect items are handled at no return-shipping cost to the customer.
