Rootbound is a gripping young adult climate fantasy novel bursting with hope, heart, adventure, and mystery!
After her older sister vanishes during a climate protest, sixteen-year-old Mira Bracken risks everything to track her down. When Mira crosses paths with the mysterious Kes and survives a shocking act of violence, she discovers the secret realm of the rootbound-rebels using their magical alliance with the trees to fight for a better world.
Kes warns that an ancient evil is abducting teen climate strikers for a deadly purpose. Fearing that her sister is among the kidnapped, Mira infiltrates the rootbound under false pretenses. As her connection to the group grows, so too does the danger.
When a monstrous new weapon is unleashed, Mira realizes that finding the truth-and her sister-may destroy everything she's come to cherish.
From climate misinformation scholar and long-time youth climate organizer, Dr. Grace Nosek.
