by Barry Raffray (Author)
Raised on a sugarcane plantation, author Barry Raffray recalls in this rollicking-yet-insightful memoir his upbringing, family ancestry, and lessons leamed as a boy in South Louisiana Barry Franklin Anthony Raffray takes us on a colorful tour of the plantation known as Cedar Grove in White Castle, La., giving us several glimpses of daily life from childhood through his joining the U.S. Army after graduation from White Castle High School in 1962. These pages are bursting with lively stories written casually and in the first-person except for a few memorable tales handed down by loving family members. Far from a mere autobiography or historical sketch, you'll feel a special kinship with Barry after each read as he shares his favorite life experiences with you!
