by Wayne McKillop (Author)
"Promise Me" is a story that chronicles an intimate and heartfelt period of time in a lifetime.
A time of love, sadness, joy and loss. Through a series of letters and journals, is shared the living and dying of Betty. A wonderful, beautiful woman and mother with HIV/AIDS. It's the story of her strength, her love and the spirit that she left
behind.
Set against the backdrop of the early 1990's, this poignant narrative captures the essence of familial bonds and the resilience of love. From the joyous moments of everyday life to the heart-wrenching realities of an illness, it offers a raw and honest glimpse into a family's experiences.
It is a story where reality is lost or altered inside our head and our hearts. It's the story of a promise whose fulfillment is inconceivable, till the end.
"If it's a journey, I don't know where it will take you"
