by Juliete Mesmer (Author), Evalise Pike (Translator)
Certain she'll not survive childbirth and convinced her daughter will be murdered at age thirty, Noor Parsinbyrd obsessively contemplates the unimaginable: taking preemptive revenge against five unborn killers.
Increasingly paranoid the mothers are aware of her plans, Parsinbyrd spirals into mania and self-doubt, tormented by macabre impulses as she simultaneously works to prove there exists no reason for violent action and goads herself on, fearing failure to strike will guarantee her daughter's predicted demise.
Newly translated by Evalise Pike. Originally released as PRÄPARTUM in limited edition, privately published by AVALANCHE - GELBE AUSGABE (2008).
