by Emma Shelford (Author)
I have magic, love, and time-for now.
My long-lost lover and companions are back in my life by a twist of time and space, and I couldn't be happier. But perfection can never last.
A powerful elemental spirit tears through the forbidden barrier between worlds and possesses hapless humans for her own ends. She's impossible to find when every new face she wears is different than the last.
The killing needs to stop.
Without my intervention, an unending string of innocents will die. It should be an easy decision, but saving them means ripping myself away from everyone I love after centuries of loneliness. Am I human enough to make the humane choice?
I am Merlin-but not for long.
