by C. H. Duus (Author)
Earth's climate is spiraling out of control. While debates rage over the cause, a chilling possibility emerges: Is someone-or something-altering our climate for an alien colonization?
Jack Walker, a scientist utilizing advanced AI in rural Montana, is haunted by vague memories of a strange childhood trauma. His research takes a sharp turn when he becomes involved in the local sheriff's search for a missing child. As Jack digs deeper, he discovers eerie connections between the boy's disappearance and a World War II mystery ship with a deadly secret the government will do anything to conceal.
In this tranquil mountain valley, things are far from what they seem. Legendary beasts from Native American lore come to life, stalking the wilderness, and a sinister force from the past awakens, threatening humanity's existence. Uncover a gripping tale of mystery, survival, and the battle for Earth's future in this page-turning thriller. Will Jack uncover the truth in time to save humanity?
"Duus' prose is both wry and insightful. The landscapes and people of the varied settings, particularly small-town rural Montana, come alive. Duus paints a unique and compelling take on the paranormal." - Kirkus Review
