"...an exhilarating thrill ride that seamlessly blends science fiction, suspense, and a touch of the supernatural..." -Aislinn Brophy, author of Spells to Forget Us
"... there are enough twists, cliffhanger chapter endings, and rich details about the Dutch Reformed community to set this gripping book apart from similar SF novels."-Kirkus Reviews
"[Perception] offers a unique perspective on alien encounters and the potential role of the human mind in the grand scheme of things. Be prepared for a mind-bending experience that will leave you questioning what you perceive as reality."-The Book Raven
A record snowstorm. An alien artifact that threatens the world's sanity. A team of strangers with extraordinary gifts ... in a community that would despise them if they knew.
Minda Blake grew up hiding her psychic abilities, until the government found her. Now she's a trained remote viewer, helping black ops contractors locate and hide evidence of alien contact after UAP events, and it's killing her. Unwilling to protect the big lie any longer, she sets out to steal an artifact and take it public-until everything goes terribly wrong.
Struggling through a blizzard in West Michigan's hyper-conservative "Dutch Triangle," she's on the run from her employers and desperately hoping the strangers she's teamed up with can help her recover the artifact before it's too late.
A mysterious mentor shows up to help-but who is he, really?
And her local helpers? They are not typical.
The world is in peril-and nothing is as it appears on the surface. What the group discovers may be the greatest secret of all, unimaginable in scope and staggeringly hopeful for humanity. Did they stumble into it? Or were they chosen?
Perception is a twisting, turning, speculative thriller about finding allies where you least expect, and coming home to your true purpose and power.
