by Ann Melim (Author)
Inspired by a journal she kept between the ages of 14 and 26, Ann Melim shares a moving and honest portrayal of her harrowing journey with undiagnosed bipolar disorder. She captivates the reader with stories of psychotic breaks triggered by dead birds, an impulsive elopement and rooming with a schizophrenic horse whisperer. Music from artists like Pink Floyd, Snoop Dog and Nirvana is woven into these compelling scenes and shine light upon the many moods that greatly impacted her relationships with men. Throughout her stories, she highlights the true power music has in bringing people together and communicating emotions that otherwise go unsaid. It's an endearing odyssey through love and loss, set to a playlist of some of the most influential music of the late 20th century.
