Front Jacket
In a time of high anxiety and fear, this book and the God to whom it refers is the antidote. --Steve Brown, broadcaster, author, professor
The peace God offers us through prayer is more than just words. It's healing for our wounds and calm for our troubled hearts. It's love and acceptance when others misunderstand us and push us away. It's the freedom of a new identity in Him, defined not by how good we are but by how good He is. With biblical insights and inviting storytelling, James Banks shows how daily friendship with God brings us peace as we experience anxieties, suffer past hurts, and face chronic difficulties. See how God can transform you inside and out through the power of prayer. "James Banks points the way to a fresh discovery of the supernatural peace God has promised his people." --Jim Cymbala, senior pastor, The Brooklyn Tabernacle James Banks (DMin) makes his home in Durham, North Carolina, where James is the founding pastor of Peace Church. His books include Prayers for Prodigals, Praying the Prayers of the Bible, Praying the Prayers of the Bible for Kids, and Hope Lies Ahead, cowritten with his son, Geoff.
