One Beautiful Dolphin in the Infinite Blue is a beautifully illustrated children's picture book that practices math skills. Each page features colorful hand-made cloth dolphins set in exquisite backgrounds. The story is told in rhyme and follows the first dolphin as it meets a new dolphin, one by one, up to the number ten. The child can count along by pointing to each dolphin. An addition equation accompanies each turn of the page, reinforcing numeracy skills. The story ends with a skip-counting-by-tens challenge from ten to one hundred. Ten columns of different colored dolphins makes the concept of skip counting essay to grasp. Next, the book provides scientific information about dolphins, including their social behavior and the number of species around the world, in an age-appropriate manner. The book ends with a colorful chart of the numbers from one to one hundred written both as numerals and words. One Beautiful Dolphin in the Infinite Blue will engage children with its lovely illustrations and rhyming text. With One Beautiful Dolphin in the Infinite Blue, children will learn numeracy skills in a fun interactive way.
One Beautiful Dolphin in the Infinite Blue is also available in other languages including: Spanish, Portuguese, Haitian Creole, French, Russian, and more.
