by Judith Lindley (Author)
On Older Cats Second Edition would be a welcomed addition to any cat lovers bookshelf as it presents a view of the aging cat in the most unique way. Rather than being too technical, Ms Lindley has taken scientific information and molded it with her 50 years of hands-on experience to create a book easily understood by anyone.
On Older Cats Second Edition will guide you through the aging process of cats, from the first changes you will notice, outward appearances, then progress to internal changes and behavioral changes. Each topic, from eyes and ears to respiratory and immune systems, is explained as normal functions followed by results of normal aging, and expected problems. Chapter V: What You Can Do, covers everything from home care, diet, grooming, creature comforts, travel care and the most important health care for your older cat. There is also a section on Alternative Remedies seldom found in other cat books. And of course, a section on the emotional topics of euthanasia, pet loss and grieving.
Newly designed in beautiful Full Color format, this is a revised and updated edition of On Older Cats originally published in 2002.
