by Judith Lightheart (Author), Judith Lightheart (Illustrator)
a witty, cooperative story about an entire playroom that bands together to mend their dear friend Bunny after her fight with Puppy
Some playroom members are optimistic:
"We'll make it better!" said the sweater.
"It's up to us!" said the walrus.
Others, not so much:
"We're going to fail!" wailed the pail.
Will
the animals - stuffed and awake -
and all the food - both real and fake -
the vehicles and all with wheels
be able to mend their dear friend Bunny?
Packed with significant helps for early readers and pre-readers learning to read:
- illustrations embedded in the text
- rhyming dialogue
- repeated stanzas
Told in the classic style of Polly Cameron's "I can't," said the ant, published in 1961.
