Who says you can't have more than one life?At eighty-eight years old, Gail Ingis proves that life is a collection of chapters, not just one. From founding a nationally accredited design school at 46 to cultivating a fifty-year career as a prolific artist, Gail's journey is a testament to life's endless possibilities. In her memoir, More Than One Life, Gail shares a lifetime of adventures filled with laughter, resilience, and timeless wisdom.
Join Gail as she invites us to travel back to post-World-War-II Borough Park, Brooklyn, a melting pot of culture and ethnicity amidst America's profound transformation. Rich with both poignant and painful childhood memories, from discovering her artistic flair through Wonder Woman comics to the enchantment of early television in the family's variety store. From exhilarating rides on the Wonder Wheel at Coney Island to a near-drowning experience at Rockaway Beach, Gail's narrative unfolds with vivid detail.
Navigating life's twists, turns, and turmoil, Gail emerges as a stalwart warrior, gracefully accepting life's lessons with humility. With tenacity and persistence, she embraces each new chapter, including marriage at the tender age of 19, motherhood, a rocky divorce, finding true love later in life, and discovering a deeper path of faith and spirit.
Through heartfelt storytelling, Gail reminds us that life is meant to be lived to the fullest, regardless of age or circumstance. So, who says you can't have more than one life? Certainly not Gail Ingis. Her memoir will inspire you to embrace every chapter of your unique journey, wherever life may lead.
