More Than a Whistle Stop, which features more than 125 snapshots and illustrations, is the oral history story of life in a mid-century railroad village. Were population a factor, the whistle would have stopped signaling its location long ago; but mid-century Lamy, New Mexico, was a major stop on the Atchison, Topeka, & Santa Fe Railroad's mainline from Chicago to Los Angeles. Relax and enjoy snapshots and stories of mid-century life in a railroad village.
