by Sarah Buckleitner (Author)
Destiny has always arrived on the wings of little birds, until one day fate refuses to take flight.
A secret tradition thrives amidst cobblestone streets and cozy cottages in the secluded town of Tolling Bell, Maine. A little bird carries a destiny to each resident on their eighteenth birthday, unveiling their future and weaving a touch of magic into everyday life.
Prim-and-proper Mary has put her life on pause as she waits for her bird to arrive. Instead of dabbling in different trades and courting potential suitors like her peers, she keeps to herself, needlepointing in her room and attending church with the pastor's third son, Augustus Primrose-who she can't help but secretly imagine marrying.
When her long-awaited eighteenth birthday arrives, it brings a terrible shock. For the first time in town history, the little bird doesn't appear. In the face of shattered tradition and swirling rumors, Mary must navigate a future without the bird's promised guidance.
With a push from her eccentric Grandmother, and the mysterious Theodore Primrose, can Mary find the courage to embrace a life unscripted?
Fall in love with the enchanting charm of 'Little Birds and Other Small Magic, ' a heartwarming tale that celebrates the beauty of self-discovery and the magic in everyday life.
