Lily and her grandfather take a walk through their neighbourhood, hoping to find the walnut trees that their town of Walnut Grove is named after.
During the walk, Grandpa describes fascinating details about other trees they see (like cedars, willows, hemlocks, dogwoods).
As they stop to look closely at different trees, Grandpa discusses how Indigenous peoples used parts of hemlock and cedar trees in the creation of items such as canoes, baskets, clothing, and masks.
Lily discovers that cedar bark pulls off easily and is soft and flaky! Who knew!
BUT! Will Lily and Grandpa finally find walnut trees? Or will they give up and stop for ice cream instead?

Standard U.S. returns are accepted for eligible new, unopened items within 30 days of carrier delivery. Returns are by mail. Customers are responsible for standard return shipping, there is no restocking fee, and standard exchanges are not offered. Once an approved return is received and inspected, the refund is issued to the original payment method within 5 business days. Damaged, defective, or incorrect items are handled at no return-shipping cost to the customer.
