by Tammy Helena Kennedy (Author)
Lil' J Lost His Jam is a therapeutic resource for therapists, parents, and safe adults who want to help male victims of sexual abuse heal. The story is a typical example of molestation and illustrates the grooming process an abuser uses to manipulate his/her victims. After the abuse, Lil' J not only loses his musical spark; he also believes a lot of lies. Thankfully, the King of Music sends his messengers, DJ Rap-a-Lot and Jazzy Jazz, to help Lil' J fight the Lie Monsters: MC ShameR, Guil-T, Icky Ick and Con the Artist, who are trying to steal his music. After the rap war between the King's messengers and the enemy's Lie Monsters, Lil' J discovers the truth, reclaims his rhyme, and emerges better thna ever! This book is most effective when used in conjunction with a licensed professional therapist.
