Meet the amazing dome-shelled reptile! Introduce elementary kids to tortoises and their long lives in the wild in this North American Spanish translation.
Slow and steady, some tortoises can live up to 150 years! They live a quiet life of eating, basking in the sun, and digging burrows. Readers explore the many different kinds of tortoises, where they live, their behaviors and features, and why they move so slow, all with STEM-appropriate text and gorgeous photography. An end story retells Aesop's fable of the tortoise and the hare. A great nonfiction resource for Spanish-language learning and bilingual readers. Includes table of contents, index, same-page definitions, and further resources.Pay with
