Splits, back handsprings, front handsprings, and handstands--these are only a few examples of the impressive types of movements that gymnasts learn to do. In this book, readers explore the world of gymnastics, a type of sport requiring those partaking to practice balance, strength, and flexibility. Vivid photographs pair closely with text to bring readers directly into the gym for a gymnastics class as they explore an exciting activity at an age-appropriate reading level. They can learn about what is expected from a class, what gear is needed, and the ways gymnasts move their bodies!
