by Corrie Ten Boom (Preface by), Elizabeth Sherrill (Preface by), John Sherrill (Preface by)
Out of the evil called the Holocaust arose a witness, a voice that
even the Nazis could not silence, a voice that testified to the
power of God to overcome every wickedness and sorrow.
Corrie ten Boom is that witness and her powerful story recounts
the courage of one Christian family of Dutch watchmakers who
determined to save Jews and resistance workers from the Gestapo
forces that had overrun the Netherlands.
faithfulness and his mercy, even in the darkest and deepest pit.
The same faith that compelled the ten Boom family to stand firm
in the face of evil would continue to shape Corrie's life as she bore
witness to the great power of God's love to forgive, to heal, and to
restore. "A groundbreaking book that shines a clear light on one of
the darkest moments of history."
--Philip Yancey, author, What's So Amazing About Grace? and
The Jesus I Never Knew Hendrickson Classic Biographies feature enduring stories about
real people whose lives have been touched and transformed by God,
and who in turn have touched others with God's love. Each story
has been carefully selected, gently edited if necessary, and freshly
typeset, making every account--be it ancient or contemporary--a
compelling read. Great lives reaching across the ages to touch lives
