by Carol A. Campbell (Author)
In the sleepy, hauntingly beautiful coastal town of Bayou Vista, Louisiana, a shadow of fear has settled over the community. A string of women have vanished, and whispers of a serial killer stalking the night have the townsfolk on edge. They speak in hushed tones of a monster that walks among them, a predator hiding in plain sight, feeding on their fear.
For ten-year-old Loretta Cobb, the real monster lurks within the walls of her own home-her stepfather, Roy. Trapped in a nightmarish cycle of abuse, Loretta's hope flickers like a candle in a hurricane, its light fading with each passing day.But even in the darkest corners of Bayou Vista, hope isn't entirely lost. At the heart of this haunted town lies a peculiar shop called Micky's Magical Things, run by the enigmatic and mysterious Micky Vermooch. Stories spread like wildfire in the small town, claiming that Micky can communicate with the dead. Some believe he's a charlatan, others swear by his uncanny powers, but for Loretta, Micky represents a desperate chance at salvation.
As Halloween night looms, the air thickens with dread, and Loretta is pulled into a sinister web of secrets that have been buried for too long. The closer she gets to uncovering the truth, the more she realizes that some monsters wear the faces of those you trust. In a town where darkness hides in every shadow, will she be able to survive the terror that awaits-or will this be the night she discovers that some nightmares never end? Only one thing is certain: in Bayou Vista, the real horror has just begun.Heavenly Wishes: Micky's Magical Things is a gripping, heart-pounding thriller that masterfully weaves together supernatural intrigue and the harrowing reality of human evil. It's a tale of suspense, courage, hope, and the unbreakable spirit of a young girl fighting for her life. Prepare to be captivated by this electrifying story that will grip you from the first page and keep you on the edge of your seat long into the night.Pay with
