JAVIER CAJIAO NIETO. Biólogo de la Universidad de los Andes, con una maestría en Bio diversidad de la Universidad de Barcelona. Después de haber recorrido y trabajado un par de años en la selva amazónica colombiana, ha dedicado la mayor parte de su vida a la educación. Actualmente dirige el Colegio Unidad Pedagógica, en Bogotá. Sus tiempos libres los dedica principalmente a cuidar sus plantas, a hacer fotografías de naturaleza, a ver buenas películas y mucho fútbol. Autor de Planeta Tierra, planeta vida; BBZOO: animales y sus crías y colaborador en la colección Animales en extinción Colombia.
