by J. R. Simmons (Author)
During the American Civil War a sadistic Confederate Senator kills thirteen southern war brides as they wait for their husbands to return from the war. After the first Gulf War a retired Navy Commander tortures and kills his high school sweetheart. Then he systematically murders the high school jocks who made his life a living hell. In 24th century America a powerful, fanatic woman plots to overthrow the U.S. government with help from the past. An unknown force conspires to bring down the one man who can stop all three perpetrators: DETECTIVE INSPECTOR JASON LAW, TIME FORCE INVESTIGATIONS. But Law faces his own demons. His mother was ruthlessly murdered in front of him when he was still a small boy. Jason hunts for the monster who killed her, and condemns the God who allowed it. Jason's search for the truth spirals out of control as he travels through time to stop the evil force trying to destroy him. He bets his life and the future of the world on one last gamble.
