by Maria Rivans (Author)
Four Seasons: Create Four Elegant Collages with the Images in this Surprising Kit is a unique introduction to the art of collage.
In the same style as her trademark collage "pin-ups," Maria Rivans presents four "seasons" with all the images and backgrounds you need to re-create them yourself; and after the satisfying process of composition, the four finished collages will work together as complementary artworks to adorn your walls. Maria provides a choice of backdrops, hundreds of surprising collage elements (which the reader cuts out themselves), and the practical advice--you bring your own spin for a unique, contemporary result.Author Biography
Maria Rivans is a collage artist based in Brighton, UK. She curated the images in the hugely successful Extraordinary Things to Cut Out and Collage (2020), has exhibited her work internationally, and created a book and three unique jigsaw puzzles. Known for its surreal approach, Maria's collages are in a constant dialogue with cultures of the past, reinventing narratives while spinning bizarre and dreamlike tales.
