Locked behind bars, David's innocence rests on Celeste's shoulders as she fights to clear his name and salvage his reputation in their small town. But as she navigates the complicated dynamics of sharing the man she loves with his girlfriend, Celeste stumbles upon a mysterious set of journals in Mrs. Winsome's room. These journals hold secrets from a past in a nuclear facility and reveal Mrs. Winsome worked on a groundbreaking invention. As secrets unfold and the Great War inches closer, Celeste wonders about her grandfather's motives in targeting David Winsome and Braeden Hall. With the final book in Courtnee Turner Hoyle's gripping series, readers will be on the edge of their seats as they join Celeste on her journey to uncover the truth. But will the revelations in Mrs. Winsome's journals cause her to question her perception of the past and the future, and will it change her plans to be with the man she loves?
