by Sarah Schmidtt (Author)
The passage of the 19th Amendment was the culmination of the women's suffrage movement, as the fight for equal voting rights and the value of primary sources illuminates the ongoing fight for equality. Throughout this volume, readers engage with the amendment itself as well as other primary sources that showcase the long struggle for women's equality. Historical photos allow readers to immerse themselves in the time period, as well as provide an additional primary source for readers to study. As they broaden their understanding of a pivotal moment in history, readers use critical thinking skills to truly understand why modern fights for equality still happen in the world today.
