17 SCIENCE FICTION SHORT STORIES BY NICK MARONE
This collection holds all seventeen short stories written by Nick Marone up to December 2023. Seven have been previously published by Delta-V Press, Aurealis Magazine, Etherea Magazine, Science Write Now, Space and Time Magazine, and a Deadset Press anthology called Journeys: Aussie Speculative Fiction. Rounding out the collection are ten more never-before-seen stories. Each story is also accompanied by background information, providing an insight into Nick's inspirations, writing challenges, story development, and publication history.
From soft science fiction to cyberpunk, humour to near-future, space western to portal fantasy, Nick Marone shows the breadth of his interests and his ability to cross subgenres with ease. Aliens, robots, and artificial intelligence feature heavily in these stories, but at the heart of them all are raw explorations of human emotions and motivations. Nick Marone escapes into science fiction, and he invites you to join him in a variety of worlds, alongside a mix of relatable characters.
